Nahida has many years experience that positions her favourably to effectively
support clients from diverse backgrounds, presenting with a range of emotional & mental health challenges.
Her client group is varied, ranging from adolescents to adults presenting
predominantly with anxiety, depression, loss, DV, PTSD, OCD and relationship
breakdowns.
She adopts a Person-Centred approach in her work and therefore recognise
the benefits of allowing clients to work with their most 'current' state of mind
and emerging emotions. However, I also utilise CBT /goal orientated
techniques to equip individuals with essential tools for daily coping strategies and self-monitoring.
She holds a BSc in Psychology(with honours) from City University, a Post
Graduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Roehampton
University.
She holds an MSc Research Methods in Psychology from University of Kent.
Nahida holds a Certificate in Islamic Counselling.
