Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a complex condition characterized by unstable moods, behavior, and relationships. Individuals with BPD often experience intense episodes of anger, depression, and anxiety that may last from a few hours to days.
Individuals with this disorder may also be self-harming and have a highly increased risk of abuse and suicide attempts amongst other things.
Sometimes, because of the complexity of this disorder, it may be seen as difficult to treat. We go about treating this disorder by providing a safe and consistent, structured therapeutic setting in a boundaried environment that the individual can feel safe to express themselves in.
